Lacquered and Powder-Painted Doors - more delicate than those in Laminate - are treated with top quality varnishes and subjected to rigorous laboratory testing before they go into production in order to check their resistance to various forms of potential damage, including their light fastness. Despite these precautions, the colour of the lacquer and powder-painting will change slightly over time. To delay the inevitable process of colour variation, you are advised to avoid exposing your kitchen to direct sunlight, and to follow the correct maintenance procedures as described here.

Cleaning.

For routine maintenance of Lacquered and Powder-Painted doors, use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive detergent, or simply a micro-fibre cloth (available from our Dealers). In case of more stubborn stains, a very weak solution of ethyl alcohol may be used to clean gloss lacquered doors only. Wipe off any liquids from the door immediately in order to prevent persistent stains.

Scratches in the varnish.

In the case of scratches, use the “touch-up bottle” supplied by the company when the kitchen is delivered; correctly apply the right amount of varnish to the door. An additional “touch-up bottle” can also be ordered directly from your Dealer.

Do not:

- use acetone, thinner, trichloro-ethylene, ammonia or ethyl alcohol (which may only be used diluted on gloss lacquered doors); never use abrasive creams or steel wool pads which would irremediably scratch the doors.
